Reiki is a Japanese complementary practice often chosen as a way to relax. During a session, you lie fully clothed on a treatment couch while Maureen uses a light touch or holds her hands just above the body. You can talk through comfort and preferences beforehand.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a journey of pure sound and vibration. It is called a sound bath because you are bathed in the healing vibrations of gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, gentle drums and many other instruments known for their vibratory healing frequencies.

The demands of our daily lives can lead to an increase in stress-related disease. Many influences, such as the foods we eat, people we encounter, thoughts we think, sounds we hear and environments we move within, can have a negative effect on our wellbeing. Sound and vibration help facilitate a deep sense of peace, release tension and blocked energy, and balance the energy centres in the body. They work at a cellular level to rebalance the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies.

Bring a mat, blanket and cushions so you can settle in warmly. The hall floor can feel cold; a limited number of mats may be available to borrow. Wear comfortable clothes.

Monthly at Baginton Village Hall, 6–7pm · £15 in advance or £18 on the day. Pre-booking is essential.

A Journey Back to Yourself

My yoga retreats are an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with what truly matters. Away from the demands of everyday life, we create space to nurture body, mind and spirit through yoga, relaxation, meditation, mantra, pranayama and moments of quiet reflection.

Rooted in the traditional teachings of yoga, these retreats offer more than simply a physical practice. Alongside asana, we explore the deeper dimensions of yoga through breathwork, mantra and yoga philosophy, creating opportunities to cultivate self-compassion, inner awareness and a greater sense of balance, peace and connection within yourself.

Whether you are looking to deepen your practice, explore yoga’s ancient wisdom, find some stillness or simply give yourself time to recharge, you will be welcomed into a warm and supportive space where you can come just as you are.

I’m delighted to offer three retreat weeks in Jávea, Spain in 2027.

A little about your teacher

Meet Maureen.

My journey with yoga began with a desire to feel healthier, happier and more balanced, and over the years it has become so much more than a physical practice. For the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing yoga with others, and I continue to be inspired by the way it can support us through the different stages of life, helping us to find strength, stillness and a deeper connection with ourselves.

My love of yoga has taken me to India on several occasions, where I’ve explored the roots of yoga, deepened my understanding of its ancient philosophy and learned more about Ayurveda. These experiences have strengthened my belief that yoga is about far more than the poses on the mat — it’s a way of living that can bring greater awareness, balance and contentment into our everyday lives.

For me, yoga is also a journey of self-discovery — an opportunity to explore the connection between body, mind and spirit. I’m drawn to the wisdom of the ancient teachings and the way they invite us to live with greater awareness, compassion and connection, both with ourselves and with the world around us. This sense of inner connection continues to inspire my teaching and my own journey.

Alongside yoga, I now offer Reiki and singing bowl therapy, as well as monthly sound baths and yoga retreats. Each offers a different opportunity to slow down, release tension and nurture our wellbeing, creating space to reconnect with ourselves and find a little more peace in our often busy lives.

What I treasure most is the sense of connection that grows when people come together through yoga and shared experiences. Whether you join me for a class, a sound bath, an individual treatment or a retreat, my hope is that you feel welcomed, supported and part of a community where you can simply be yourself.

I look forward to welcoming you.

Love & light,
Maureen
